Data & Permissions
Apple Health
Read-only access imports outdoor cycling workouts, distance, and workout routes. The permission sheet is controlled by iOS. City Bikeline cannot determine which individual Health categories you denied, and it never writes Health data.
Route processing consent
Health permission does not automatically authorize an upload. City Bikeline asks separately before sending route geometry to its backend. Declining keeps rides on the iPhone. Deleting uploaded history also turns future upload off until you consent again.
Location
When-in-use location selects the origin for an exploration ride and recentres the map. City Bikeline does not request Always location access. After you explicitly start a ride, it can continue receiving location updates under When In Use authorization while the screen is locked so that route progress and spoken guidance continue; iOS displays its background-location indicator. Continuous navigation locations stay on the iPhone. A current coordinate is sent to the backend only for route planning or a confirmed reroute.
Device integrity
Apple App Attest binds sensitive requests to a trusted installation. It is a security control, not an advertising or cross-app tracking identifier.
Controls
Use iOS Settings to change Health and Location permissions. Use Ride History to delete uploaded cycling history, or Account & Security to delete the full account.
